The Top 9 Career Tips for Introverts - Introvert Whisperer

Introvert Whisperer / The Top 9 Career Tips for Introverts - Introvert Whisperer The Top 9 Career Tips for Introverts The assertive executive, the friendly outgoing salesperson, and the new hire who is a real go-getter; when you think of Career Success, these may be some images in your mind. Thats not surprising. After all, its rare to see introverts portrayed as successful career people on television or movies. Successful introverts rarely sit for television interviews either. In spite of this, there are plenty of introverts that have become notable for their career success. As an introvert, you are just as capable of moving up the ladder in your chosen field as anyone else. In fact, there are even ways to make your personality work for you. To move your career in the right direction, consider these top nine career tips for introverts. 1. Prioritize work environment You may find that your work environment has as much impact on your success as the field you choose to pursue. That cool job with the Casual environment, open floor plan, constant collaboration, and boisterous corporate Bros may seem fun at first. Just be honest with yourself. Will that really work for you? Work environment and Company culture can really impact whether you are happy on a daily basis. Know what will work for you, and choose a work environment that matches your personality. 2.  Take an aptitude test The happier you are with your career, the better able you will be to withstand any stressors that you face. You may have heard the old adage that you should do what you love. Thats not quite true. In addition to finding something that you love, its even more important to find something that youre good at. take a few reputable aptitude test and assessments to identify where your talents lie. 3.  Use self-care to prepare for high-pressure situations Theres no way to avoid all the situations that are difficult for an introvert. What you can do is prepare for these by maintaining your well-being in other ways. If you have an interview, conference call, obligatory party, or other events which are going to be stressful make an extra effort to be kind to yourself.  Get some extra sleep, get a massage, indulge in a movie by yourself, or enjoy whatever Other Self Care rituals that you have. 4.  Become an expert and source of knowledge Not everyone achieves success by being gregarious and outgoing.  You can accomplish quite a bit by becoming an expert in your field, and being a reliable source of knowledge for others. Find a useful skill and develop it to a level of mastery. But dont become a commodity, keep your skills up to date and always find new skills to develop. This will ensure that you are always a person of value to the people you work with. You can also use your expertise to develop a personal and professional brand. Both are more important than ever in developing the career you want. You can take your expertise and start a blog, write articles for industry Publications, and participate in social media cover stations that are relevant to your industry. Just remember that professionalism is extremely important. If you do create an online presence make sure anything you produce is well edited and written. You can use some following resources to help: Writing Assistance â€" Consider using a reputable writing service like WowGrade.com to help put your ideas in writing. Writing Improvement â€" The Hemingway App is great for helping you improve your writing skills. Editing And Proofreading â€" Make sure your writing is accurate and free from errors with any editing service. Adding Visuals to Your Writing â€" Try Canva to add infographics and other visuals to your blog content. 5.  Develop the skills that may not come naturally As an introvert, there may be things that aren’t comfortable for you, and which don’t come naturally. It’s still important for you to perfect these skills. It may be uncomfortable to cold call someone you don’t know, to ask a peer for a referral, or to introduce colleagues, but doing these things are usually a necessary part of any upward career path. Unfortunately, there’s no magic trick here. The only way to deal with these situations is through practice. Like Winston Churchill said, “When you’re going through hell, keep going.” 6.  Take the Special Teams approach to social situations If you’re a football fan, you know what special teams are. If not, special teams are punters, field goal kickers, punt returners, snappers, and other positions. The players in these positions aren’t out on the field for the entire game, but their appearance can be absolutely pivotal when they are present. If you work in an industry where socializing is integral, or you must attend the obligatory work parties and events, think of yourself as a special teams player.  Show up, turn on the charm, engage, greet people, smile, and then excuse yourself early. You’ll get ‘credit’ for making an appearance. You’ll also be able to cut out before things get overwhelming. 7.  Improve your public speaking skills It’s even more difficult to deal with tough situations when you don’t have the skills you need to execute things successfully. Public speaking is one activity that most introverts dread. It’s also something most people have to do, even if it’s just presenting information at a meeting. If public speaking is a struggle, take action to change that. Join a local chapter of Toastmasters, or take a public speaking or speech class. The better you are at speaking in front of people, the less uncomfortable you’ll feel in these situations. 8.  Take on roles where you can add value and be successful Your quiet nature may make it difficult to get noticed in the workplace. To counter this, you have to find other ways to highlight your talents, and show that you are a valuable contributor. Be proactive in finding ways to contribute and demonstrate your value to the organization. Offer to handle written communications, if you are a talented writer. Organize employee events. Become known for your attention to detail. These are things that will help you get noticed in the workplace. 9.  Keep track of your accomplishments You may find it difficult to recite your accomplishments and credentials, but it’s important that you do. Keep a list of important projects that you’ve worked on, certifications that you’ve earned, skills that you’ve mastered etc. When you’re asked about your qualifications, you may find that having a list you’ve committed to memory will help you avoid that ‘on the spot’ feeling. You’ll be able to express yourself with confidence, and win over your audience. Final Thoughts You don’t need to be an extrovert to be successful. However, the working world certainly can feel as if it is biased in favor of the outgoing. Try applying some of these nine tips to your career, and you may find that it’s easier to navigate your path to success. It's a common misconception that women are the only ones who learn to sew.The price of lessons can vary wildly depending on a number of different factors. (Source: StarFlames)Anyone can learn to thread a needle, make a seam, and start doing their own basic sewing projects like making a tote bag or pillowcase, or adding zippers to bags. The main thing you have to think about when choosing your sewing or embroidery tutorial is what your goals are:Do you want to just learn to sew?Do you want to make a career out of it?Are you interesting in hand sewing or machine sewing?Do y ou want to make your own creative wardrobe?Do you want to learn how to make a hem or sew on a button?Do you want to make a wedding dress for the big day?In addition to these criteria, the cost of sewing classes will also vary according to:The town where you’re getting your private tutorials (London, other large cities, or a small town)The type of tutorial you’re getting (knitting, sewing, making clothes, etc.)The length and frequency of the lessons (throughout the year, evening classes, at the weekend)The tutor’s experience and reputation (a former fashion designer or a student who’s just graduated, etc.)Whether you have your own sewing machine or a sewing kit or whether the tutor provides the materials. It’ll hardly be surprising to learn that the prices tend to be higher in London where the cost of living in higher. Elsewhere there are fewer tutors but lower prices. Of course, online tutorials are cheaper than face-to-face tutorials or classes in a sewing group. The level of the class (beginner, intermediate, advanced), how much you know about sewing already, or what you want out of your courses can vary the price of your sewing classes. My favourite workshops were the ones where I learn the basics of sewing, what all the words meant and the important equipment and materials you need. By the end, I was no longer a beginner.Where Can You Find the Perfect Sewing Tutor? You need to do more than just choose the perfect sewing machine, you need to also choose the teacher whose advice and approach will help you achieve your goals. That’s why choosing your teacher isn’t a decision you can take lightly.Whether you're learning at university or in a sewing group, you're bound to find a decent teacher. (Source: TooMuchCoffeeMan)The first thing you need to do is decide what your objectives are:Would you prefer a traditional approach to learning to sew or embroider?Do you want to learn how to make furnishings or upholstery (like a cushion cover, for example)?Ar e you looking to perfect your sewing techniques or learn new ones like cross stitch or crochet? Then, you need to have a look around at the places where you can find tutors or teachers. Places such as:Fashion schoolsPrivate workshopsSewing groupsPrivate sewing tutorsWhat makes the perfect sewing teacher? Is it a teacher with a recognised qualification in fashion design? Not really... Finding your perfect sewing teacher depends on a large number of different factors such as:Your budgetHow long you have to learnWhere you liveHow flexible your schedule isWhether your goals line up with the tutor’s own personal experienceThinking about these criteria is a good place to start as it’ll help you narrow down your options and find the right sewing teacher.I didn’t really know how to sew before I decided to learn. My mother helped by a bit by giving me a book on sewing for dummies (I particularly enjoyed the sections on scrapbooking and patchwork). Now I’m the one who fixes her clothes , added a zip to her bag, and customises her clothes and accessories! Can You Learn Sew Online? This is a question you’ll start asking yourself once you’ve narrowed down your list of potential teachers: Where can you have sewing tutorials? While most tutors and teachers will be found in schools and workshops, there are two other solutions for those who want to learn how to sew:Online sewing classesPrivate sewing tutorials at your houseOnline sewing coursesIt's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it! (Source: 947051)You probably don’t have a serger, cover stitch machine, or a presser foot. It’s also unlikely that a tutor would bring all these things to your house.Don’t forget that if you opt for online tutorials, you’re going to have to get these things yourself. The advantage of learning to sew at home is that even an absolute beginner can be taught how to thread a needle, knit, redo the stitches on a garment, quilting, or just a few sewing basics. While you can find a basic sewing class or workshop, some people prefer the relaxed nature of beginner sewing tutorials and learning a new skill in a familiar environment like their own home.To give you a few ideas, here are some of the best YouTube channels for those wanting to learn how to sew:Stitchless TVThis is a good channel for beginners. In fact, this is the main focus of the channel. If you’re an absolute novice, looking for a bag pattern or information on stylish projects, or wanting to make a summer dress, this is the place to go!ThreadBangerThreadBanger is one of the most popular YouTube channels. It takes a modern approach to sewing. This isn’t the kind of channel that your grandma would enjoy. That said, there are plenty of great videos for everyone on this channel.Professor PincushionThis is a channel that’s worth checking out once you’ve got to grips with sewing as there are plenty of advanced sewing techniques explained in great detail. However, the delivery is very clear and the methods are explained step-by-step so you might be checking out this channel sooner than you think. If you’re looking for tutorials on embroidery, embellishment, ruffles, or pleats, this is the place to go!There are plenty of videos on a variety of arts and crafts.I loved going online and getting online classes from my favourite creator, Anna. She taught me how to sew a long time ago with an old mechanical sewing machine. She was full of tips and tricks, advice on the type of fabric to use and where you can get free patterns... I could do all this from the comfort of my living room.Choose Your Sewing Teacher Based on Their ExperienceEveryone knows that if you want to learn how to sew, you’ll probably need a decent sewing machine, thread, and some sewing patterns.Isn’t there something missing?Your teacher, of course!Experience, knowledge, and passion are essential when it comes to sewing. (Source: Bru-nO)Regardless of whether they have their own sewing bl og or are offering some really interesting tutorials, you need to make sure they’re experienced. It’s more complicated than that, though. Your level will dictate the kind of tutor you’ll need. You should learn more about their background:A newly-qualified teacher who’s just got their degree. An experienced teacher with experience both in teaching and in the industry.A private tutor who may be both of the above or neither of them.Your goal is to find a teacher whose experience lines up with your own objectives. A newly-qualified teacher could easily teach you the basics of sewing whereas you might need someone with more experience if your goals are more ambitious. Experienced teachers will have a better understanding of how to get into fashion schools, what the exams entail, what's going on in the industry and how to get into it.A private tutor’s role is simple: they need to offer tailored classes to their students based on what they’re trying to learn. As a student, you ha ve a lot more control. You can establish your goals and your tutor will put together a custom learning plan for you.So get your sewing supplies ready!

Solving Linear Equations With Fractions

Solving Linear Equations With Fractions Linear equations can be written based on one variable or more than one variable. Linear equations consist of constants and variables, and the numbers beside the variables are known as coefficients. The coefficients and the constants in linear equations can be integers or fractions, and accordingly we can solve the equation to find the value of the variable. The basic method of solving any linear equation always remains the same, however according to the numbers used; the calculations differ in each case. Example 1: Solve the given linear equation with fractions, x 2/3 = 5/3 and find the variable of x. Given linear equation: x 2/3 = 5/3 In order to find the value of x, we first have to get rid of 2/3 on its side. This implies, add 2/3 on both sides of the equation. This gives: x 2/3 + 2/3 = 5/3 + 2/3 So, x = 5/3 + 2/3 == x = 7/3. Therefore the value of the variable x in the given equation is 7/3. Example 2: Solve the given linear equation with fractions, x + 9/4 = 3/4 and find the variable of x. Given linear equation: x + 9/4 = 3/4 In order to find the value of x, we first have to get rid of 9/4 on its side. This implies, subtract 9/4 on both sides of the equation. This gives: x + 9/4 9/4 = 3/4 - 9/4 So, x = 3/4 - 9/4 == x = -6/4 Therefore the value of the variable x in the given equation is -6/4.

Colleges That Address Financial Needs

Colleges That Address Financial Needs College is one of the if not the biggest investment a student and his/her family will ever make. This holds true for most students, no matter how affordable their targeted colleges may be or how large of a scholarship they may have received. The cost of college then creates financial strain for most families. Colleges offer financial assistance to many students to offset the high costs. However, very few colleges actually meet their students full financial needs. The US News World Report surveyed over 1,700 American colleges to publish a list of 63 colleges that claim to meet the full financial need of their students. First, a college determines a students financial need by calculating his/her expected family contribution (EFC) and measuring the information he/she provides regarding his/her familys earning power, size savings etc. on the FAFSA form. A students financial need to attend a certain college is then the difference between the cost to attend that college and that students EFC, which remains fairly constant, but some schools do calculate it based on their own standards. Colleges will then offer aid to students to fill the gaps between the cost to attend and their EFC. Many schools were not able to meet their students full needs during the recession because of shrinking endowments, donations and funding. However, colleges are now beginning to offer slightly more financial aid to students, making it easier to meet a students full financial needs. Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering meets its students full financial needs, despite economic setbacks and its $38,425 tuition cost. The school offers a $3,500 direct subsidized loan to every student. Washington and Lee University, a $40,387 college, also meets the full financial needs of its students. The college adjusts its financial budget and offers more grants and paid employment opportunities to students compared to most other colleges. Colleges have to stretch their dollars and budgets to meet the full financial needs of all their students. Also, the system they use (total cost of attending minus your expected family contribution, EFC) is not always 100% accurate. Vanderbilt University and John Hopkins University fell a few points short of meeting their students full financial needs. Click here for the complete list of all 63 schools that meet their students full financial needs.

An Introverts Guide to Mastering Strategic Leadership - Introvert Whisperer

Introvert Whisperer / An Introvert’s Guide to Mastering Strategic Leadership - Introvert Whisperer An Introvert’s Guide to Mastering Strategic Leadership Our culture deems extrovert characteristics as the obvious signs of a strong leader. Consequently, those who are outspoken, quick to act, and enjoy group work tend to rise to the top of the totem pole in the workplace. These types of leaders thrive on being around others and therefore are often seen as charismatic, confident, and likable. However, all the most successful businesses need a diverse set of leaders to really take the company to the greatest heights. Introverts, too, have important characteristics that make them great leaders. While their leadership traits may not be as apparent on the surface, they have much to offer a company when put in managerial or other leadership positions. Some of the qualities that come more naturally to introverts can even be harder for extroverts to develop. Thus, introverts should take confidence in their personality type and strive for those positions of power in the workplace. Read on to learn how to strategically hone your leadership skills as an introvert. Play Up Your Strengths First, introverts should identify and learn more about their strengths, then play them up to their advantage at work. Contrary to popular belief, introverts have a lot to offer as influential leaders. While they may not be the first to jump at the chance to speak in public, they can use their more thoughtful, introspective demeanor to help their company grow. Here are five traits that most introverts should be able to exude with ease: 1. Listen and Show Empathy While most extroverted leaders can easily talk to a crowd, introverts have the complementary skill of listening. Introverts can use this tool to understand their employees and customers. By listening closely to those who work for them, introverted leaders will be able to increase efficiency and place employees in positions that utilize their strengths. They’ll really get to know their team and earn their respect, inspiring them to work harder and develop a loyalty to the company. And by listening and showing empathy to customers, introverted leaders will be able to hone in on what’s really working for the company â€" and fix what’s not. 2. Think Before Acting Introverts are naturally more thoughtful than most extroverts when it comes to decision-making. Extroverts are usually quick to act and make decisions. Some companies value this skill since it is useful in moments of pressure when a choice needs to be made, but thoughtful, methodical decision-making will usually bring better results in the long run. 3. Use Self-Awareness to Improve Because they spend more time listening and observing, introverts are also usually more self-aware than extroverts. This skill can be used to be in a constant state of self-improvement. By noticing areas of strength and weakness, introverts can identify how best to be of service to their company. 4. Work with Individuals Introverts do well in one-on-one situations rather than getting things done with group work. This can be advantageous for someone in a leadership position, since it allows the leader to get to know employees and learn what they’re capable of. Working one-on-one gives introverted leaders a chance to listen and empathize with their individual team members. 5. Create a Calm Atmosphere When situations inevitably get stressful from time to time, introverts can make the most of their calming energy to keep everyone from losing sight of reality. Introverted leaders have an important role in setting the tone of the company and painting a harmonious environment where employees want to be. Be Cognizant of Your Limits Now that we’ve talked about introvert strengths, it’s time to discuss areas that an introvert may need to use their introspective talent in order to set personal limits. By realizing areas of weakness, an introvert can avoid problematic situations and help others understand their personality. 1. Take Time for Self-Care The core difference between introverts and extroverts is about where they get their energy. Introverts get energy from being alone, so an introverted leader should take time to be alone and restore themselves on a regular basis. An introvert leader who neglects their need for alone time could end up feeling frazzled, burned out, or listless, rendering them an ineffective leader. At the same time, it’s important that your employees feel comfortable enough to approach you when needed, which may sometimes come at an expense to your alone time. The bottom line is, take the time to take care of your employees as your job requires without neglecting taking care of yourself in the process. 2. Schedule Difficult Conversations Talking can be draining for introverts, so difficult conversations are even more challenging than light-hearted small talk. If an introverted leader needs to address a problem, fire an employee, discuss raises, etc., it can help to schedule the conversation well in advance and go into the meeting well-rested and ready for action. 3. Keep Meetings Limited Introverts will do well to limit their meetings, since they’re the most common source of fatigue for an introverted leader. Keep meetings short in their duration, and they’ll usually be more productive and stay on topic. 4. Showcase Talents While extroverts often have no trouble talking about their capabilities, introverts may have a harder time showing off. It’s important for introverted leaders to make a concerted effort to show what they know and how they can help the company. Showcasing skills and talents where appropriate will make promotions and raises more likely in the future. 5. Make Others Aware of Personality Types Strengths Introverted leaders would do well to start the discussion in their workplace about personality types and strengths. By educating co-workers about introverts and showcasing what the personality type can bring to the table, they’ll help others understand and value them. How to Develop These Skills Armed with a knowledge of how to play up strengths and be aware of weaknesses, any introvert leader will be on the path to success at their company. But how do you develop these skills? Implementing goal-setting techniques can help any strategic leader get to where they want to be in their career. A good plan will include the following: First, pick a skill you’d like to improve on. Next, write down the skill and identify steps you’ll need to take to develop the skill. Break it down as much as possible, into smaller, easier-to-achieve steps. Set a timeline for how soon you want to accomplish the goal. Get to work! For example, if you want to start showcasing your talents more at work, you’ll first need to identify what your talents are, brainstorm a list of ways you can bring them up with co-workers, and set a timeline for when you’ll tackle your goal. If you’re wanting to take more time for self-care, you’ll need to make a list of self-care activities and schedule them into your calendar, then actually follow through. Writing about the habits you want to develop and noticing how you feel as you strive to develop a skill will help solidify the traits in your mind. As with any goal, it will take a lot of dedication to make it a habit, but the efforts will be well worth your time! It was invented by French trapeze artist Jules Léotard to help him with his work. Tutus are only usually worn during performances and not during practice. (Source: nikidinov)Not to be confused with a bodysuit, which is also worn by dancers, particularly in modern dance. The leotard looks a lot like a swimsuit. It’s often worn without underwear. Tights are often worn under the leotard. The small skirt sewn into some leotards is known as a tutu. The leotard can be worn with a tutu, shorts, leggings, trousers, or a cache-cÅ"ur.There are various types of leotard and you need to choose for the one that fits the best and works well with your dancing:Thick strapsThin strapsCriss-cross strapsBacklessCrew neckShort sleeves3/4 sleevesLong sleevesLeotard with shortsThe second decision you need to make is the material that your leotard is made of. Leotards were originally made from cotton. This is a comfortable material but it doesn’t wick away sweat very easily. It will also become rougher after multiple washes. Don’t hesitate to try different materials: lycra, elastane , microfibre, polyester, polyamide, Tactel nylon. Each has its advantages and disadvantages so it's up to you to see which works the best. The best thing is to try them on in the shop, especially if it’s your first time buying one. Each brand is different and sizes might be bigger or smaller than what you’re used to. A leotard needs to be tight-fitting but shouldn’t leave marks on your skin when taken off. Make sure that the straps stay in place and you can move easily. In terms of colour, that’s up to you: pink, red, black, white, blue, green, etc. There’s something for everyone.Ballet Slippers and Pointe ShoesWhile a lot of little girls dream of owning some pointe shoes, we’re not going to start there. Before you can use pointe shoes, you need solid heels so that you don’t injure yourself. Generally, young girls will start wearing pointe shoes from 11 or 12 depending on their strength. There are many different factors to consider when buying ballet slippers. (Source: StockSnap)Pointe technique is very demanding so you need to have the technique mastered before you can try. If you’re starting ballet as an adult, you’re going to need to be patient before you can start dancing in pointe shoes. You’ll need to invest in some good demi-pointe shoes before you can start doing pirouettes and a grand jeté!There are several types of ballet slipper. Similarly, there are many things you need to consider:The sole of the demi-pointe shoes: when you first start doing ballet, it’s recommended that you opt for a full sole to offer you stability. When you get to an intermediate level, you can move onto half-sole demi-pointe shoes, which means the middle of your foot is free to move around in the slipper, which can help you for pointe technique. There’s also leather or suede parts under the heel and under the ball of the foot to facilitate turning. The material of the shoe: leather is more durable but less supple. Canvas is supple but tends to wear. You’ll also need to buy demi-pointes if there are holes in them. There are also satin or mixed materials (leather and canvas or elastane) options available. The colour: pink is one of the most common colours but there’s also beige, black, white, red, etc.For pointe shoes, there are also a few other things to consider:The width: this has to be according to the width of your foot. If they feel tight, you may need wider shoes. If you’re sliding around in the shoe, go for narrower shoes. The durability of the sole: Beginners will start with a supple sole and move up to harder soles over time. Each time you buy new ballet shoes, you’ll need to ask yourself whether or not they need to be harder. The length of the upper: This is how much of the shoe covers the top of your toes and foot. The shape of the inside of the shoe: This might be square or conical depending on the shape of your foot. It's very important choosing the right ballet shoe or dance shoe to take your time and make sure that you try them on.How Much Does a Ballet Outfit Cost?Starting ballet classes requires a bit of investment both in terms of the classes themselves and the ballet outfit. You might be happy starting to do ballet in a t-shirt and bottoms but you’ll soon see that you need to free up your movements. The leotard-tights-slippers combination is the obvious one to go for. While entry-level ballet outfits are quite cheap, you can spend a fortune on professional gear. (Source: Vladislav83)Leotard: this can cost between £10 and £60 depending on the style and brand you go for. You can get leotards from Decathlon for just over £10.Tights: these aren’t like your regular tights that ladder at the slightest movement. Ballet tights are reinforced and more resistant. You need to pay around a tenner for a pair of ballet tights. Don’t hesitate to get a few pairs to find your favourites.Dance shoes: these can also cost between £10 and £60 according to style and brand. Block demi-pointes are the professional standard but you’ll expect to pay a good amount for them. If you want to get pointe shoes, you’ll be paying upwards of £50.Other items: leggings, bottoms, tutu, cache-coeur, brassier, etc. There’s plenty of choices for those who don’t feel comfortable in just a leotard and tights. That said, it will cost you a bit more. You can pay around £40 for each of the above.Clothing for warming up: cache-coeur, gaiters, warm-up boots, etc. The price will vary according to what you opt for!Dance accessories: bag, hair accessories, pointe protectors, etc. It’s up to you how much you’re willing to spend on these. The average cost of a basic ballerina outfit (leotard, tights, slippers) should be around £50. However, this will depend on what you get.Stage Makeup for Ballet DancersIf you’re going to be performing on stage, you’ll need to think about the makeup you’ll be wearing and learn how to do stage makeup. You won't apply makeup for a dance performance in the same way you usually do. (Source: kinkate)The most important thing to know is that stage makeup is made to be seen. Your audience won’t be close to you and stage lights and spotlights tend to make faces paler. Thus, you’ll need to exaggerate the colour of your eyes, mouth, and complexion.Start by applying makeup to your eyelids with three lots of eyeshadow. Apply the lightest layer first, a darker second layer in the middle, and the darkest layer around the edge. Then, add a thicker eyeliner than you’d usually wear. Next, generously apply mascara to your eyelashes. Now let’s look at your complexion. Consider using a liquid foundation and working from the centre of your face outwards. Powder and matte your skin so that it doesn’t appear shiny on stage. You can also add blush to your cheeks to give your face some contrast. You’ll want your mouth to be a matte red. Shiny lipstick won’t pop with stage lights. The best idea is to apply it to the contours with a brush. Finish by accentuating your eyebrows. For more information, don’t hesitate to check our full article on makeup for dancers. So when will we see you in your first ballet lesson? If you need more help with ballet, think about getting in touch with the talented and experienced tutors on Superprof.
